How Dananeer handles your information

This Privacy Policy explains how Dananeer ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Dananeer mobile application, the WebGL version available at dananeer.io, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Dananeer, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who We Are

Dananeer is a social gaming platform for card, board, and turn-based games, available on Android, iOS, and the web. We are a registered company in Jordan, based in Amman, and serve players across the MENA region and worldwide.

2. Information We Collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We do not ask you to fill out registration forms or provide personal details directly to us.

Authentication information (received from third-party sign-in providers)

You sign in to Dananeer using one of the following methods:

  • Apple Sign-In — we receive a unique user identifier and, optionally, your email address based on the choice you make on Apple's screen.
  • Facebook Login — we receive your public profile (name, profile picture, and Facebook user ID) and your email address, based on the permissions you grant. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your Dananeer account. We do not post anything to your Facebook account.
  • Email OTP — we receive your email address and use it only to send a one-time verification code for sign-in.

Information you optionally provide inside the app

  • An in-game display name (nickname) of your choice.
  • A profile avatar that you upload or select.

Information collected automatically

  • Device information: device model, operating system, language, time zone, and unique device identifiers.
  • Gameplay data: matches played, scores, in-game currency, achievements, and leaderboard activity.
  • Technical logs: IP address, crash reports, performance diagnostics, and session duration.

We do not use cookies in the WebGL version of Dananeer.

We do not collect or store payment card details. In-app purchases, where available, are processed entirely by Apple, Google, or other authorized payment providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create your account, authenticate you, and provide the Service.
  • To match you with other players, run the in-game economy (Bazaar), and maintain leaderboards.
  • To enable voice and video chat features between players in the same game room.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, cheating, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
  • To improve the Service, develop new features, and analyze usage trends.
  • To send you service-related notifications (e.g., security alerts, policy changes).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Other players within the Service, limited to your public profile (nickname, avatar, level) and gameplay activity.
  • Service providers who help us operate Dananeer, including hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Dananeer, our users, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers operated by us or our hosting providers. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed immediately as described in Section 8. Limited information may be retained for a short period only where required by law (e.g., financial records related to in-app purchases) or to prevent fraud and abuse.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data (see Section 8).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Available to all users worldwide. Any user, in any country where Dananeer is accessible, may delete their account and associated personal data at any time using the methods below.

Option A — Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Dananeer on Android, iOS, or the web.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Go to Profile → Account → Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion request.

Option B — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to support@dananeer.io from the email address registered to your Dananeer account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Include your in-game nickname or user ID if known.

What happens after a deletion request

  • Your account and personal data are removed immediately upon confirmation.
  • Your profile information, gameplay history, in-game items, chat messages, and authentication identifiers are permanently deleted from our active systems.
  • Limited records (such as financial records related to in-app purchases) may be retained only where required by law.
  • Deletion is irreversible. We cannot recover your account, in-game currency, or progress after deletion is complete.

9. Children

Dananeer is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by law in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@dananeer.io and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International Transfers

Dananeer is operated from Jordan and serves players across the MENA region and worldwide. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, in accordance with this policy.

11. Third-Party Services

Dananeer integrates third-party services including Apple Sign-In, Facebook Login, Firebase, and analytics tools. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
